Last fall, we convinced a long time client to let us take over their end of year fundraising campaign. They had done their first and only campaign once before, in 2022, raising about $5K.
The assignment wasn’t easy: the client’s email list was large but unsegmented and not optimized for giving; also, fundraising last year was down across sectors.
But we studied the previous campaign and learned from it. We analyzed responses to our ongoing comms to identify the asks that triggered the greatest response.
By pivoting the narrative, designing a mix of asks, and carefully scheduling outreach between Giving Tuesday and the last day of the year, we raised $40K.
This year, we staged rolling campaigns and are tackling the clean-up of the email list. We believe in the work this client does and are determined to build support among individual donors over the long term.
