Art director and graphic designer Samantha Yatovitz (né O’Brien) is an award winning senior creative from Sydney, Australia. Now based in Portland Oregon, Samantha continues to strike a successful balance between advertising and design projects.
Conceptually based, collaborative, and skilled in all disciplines from print media to television, radio and digital, she is as equally at home creating a brand identity as she is a multi-faceted national advertising campaign. Samantha moved to New York in 2010 where she continued to work for some of the world's leading advertising agencies, design firms and publishers before making Portland her home in 2012.
Achieving top honours at AWARD School (Australian Writers & Art Directors Association), and being a student of Milton Glaser at the School of Visual Arts, New York have been invaluable highlights along the way. Illustration, photography, copywriting, creative presentation and strategic thinking are additional skills that she brings to her practice.
Clients have included M&C Saatchi, Saatchi & Saatchi, Clemenger BBDO, Euro RSCG, McCann Erickson, McCann Health, DDB, GREY, Thinkso Creative, Adrenaline – Havas, PQ Blackwell Publishing and Scribner.
Samantha was born into a creative family, with both parents enjoying careers as two of Australia’s top illustrators of their era. She literally grew up in an art and design studio – a perfect fit from the very beginning.
